Release of Lucullus® 24.1.2
More efficient multi-process management
Set attributes in bulk for all loaded processes in the Execution Monitor, reducing repetitive configuration work. Process information was also expanded to show the host workstation on which a process was executed.
More powerful process search
Improved Graphic Tool search capabilities make it easier to locate process data. Process Finder is now the default view, providing more flexible access to process searches.
Extended automation through the REST API
New REST API endpoints support sample creation and improve the ability to update attributes for running processes, extending the possibilities for automated workflows and external integrations.
Expanded device connectivity
New integrations include Horiba Aqualog, Chemometec XM30, MSPrima, and the Watson-Marlow EtherNet/IP Pump, alongside improvements to existing device drivers.
Improved Media Tool workflows
Lot remarks and a new Reset All Filters function make material and media management more convenient.
Lucullus® 24.1.2 is also compliant with 21 CFR Part 11 for use in regulated environments.
Release of Lucullus® 24.1.1
Better process context
The workstation hostname associated with a process can be displayed in Process Info during and after execution, providing additional context for process records.
Improved sample documentation
Sample remarks can now be edited after a sample has been added, providing more flexibility when documenting sampling activities.
REST API refinements
Lucullus® now returns JSON by default when no HTTP Accept header is specified, while API login permissions can be configured through the Config API.
Improved usability
Additional smaller improvements include descriptive information when hovering over port names and clearer web-interface permission messages.Release of Lucullus® 24.1.0
OPC UA server interface
Lucullus® introduced support for an OPC UA server interface for interaction with OPC clients and access to real-time process data, supporting more modern industrial connectivity.
Expanded REST API
New REST API endpoints provide access to Media Tool-related information, including material details, osmometer values, weights, and other data.
More flexible process automation
Functions became directly visible in the Operation Tool during recipe creation. Functions can also run asynchronously within Step Chains, allowing them to execute in the background without interrupting the main process workflow.
Faster start of data acquisition
A default data logger operation allows process data logging to begin directly after a successful Lucullus® installation.
Updated platform support
The release expanded support for current IT environments, including Windows 10 and Windows 11 and Oracle Linux 8.
Release of Lucullus® 23
Full UTF-8 support
Lucullus® introduced broader UTF-8 support across major tools and interfaces, enabling the use of non-Latin characters and supporting more international deployment environments.
Modernized IT platform support
Lucullus® added support for Oracle Linux 8 and Oracle 21c Express Edition, alongside updated Windows platform support.
Simplified application environment
Legacy and commercially unused functionality was reduced or hidden to simplify the application environment and make operation, training, and validation more straightforward.
New device connectivity
Additional device integrations included Bioengineering bioreactors and Knauer pumps, further expanding the range of equipment that can be integrated into Lucullus®.Release of Lucullus® 3.11
Modern web-based process monitoring
Lucullus® 3.11 introduced a new responsive web interface designed for monitoring bioprocesses from laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Monitoring and analysis dashboards provide access to both real-time and historical process information.
REST API and third-party interoperability
A REST/JSON API opened Lucullus® functionality to external applications and enabled automated access to process information, creating a foundation for broader integration with third-party software and data-analysis environments.
Expanded process visualization
The web application was extended with process-focused dashboards, local attributes, calculated ports, and additional process information.
Additional hardware integration
Lucullus® 3.11 expanded device connectivity with new and improved drivers for equipment including Bioengineering bioreactors, Knauer pumps, Agilent HPLC systems, ViCell BLU, and other laboratory devices.
