Experienced Mechatronics / Applied Physics Engineer

for our Biotech and Medtech solutions

Our engineers innovate the next generation of technologies that change how bioprocesses are automated. In this role you will report to the CTO, and your responsibilities will include, but won’t be limited to planning and executing activities, from conceptualization and prototyping all the way up to production. As a subject-matter expert, you will<u> lead the development of products and modules by applying principles of mechanics, optics, hydraulics and heat transfer engineering etc</u>. You will also drive the projects’ integration, implementation and verification. Moreover, you will realize relevant design together with the architecture, modelling, simulation as well as produce technical documentation. Additionally, you will champion the safety, efficacy, efficiency and usability analysis of our devices. Last but not least, you feel comfortable working in a cross functional dynamic company environment as part of a highly collaborative international team, as well as thriving even under pressure within tight timelines and with high visibility towards senior management.

Your Profile

  • Proven multiple years of experience in the development of sufficiently complex mechatronic systems

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, applied physics or equivalent studies backed by experience and expertise

  • At ease with the development of system concepts and specifications, including performance, safety and reliability

  • preferably in a regulated environment such as aerospace, automotive or medical devices

  • The ideal candidate is strong in at least one of the following fields and has experience in the other domains:

    • Design, integration and testing of mechatronics sensors and actors
    • Design, fabrication and testing optical lens components, and their integration in complex optomechanical systems including optoelectronics
    • Small scale fluidics device design and testing
    • Systems Engineering (INCOSE)
  • Proactive, independent, solution-oriented and an analytical team player that feels at home in an agile environment such as scrum.
